Under the 2025 World Rabies Day theme, “Act Now: Me, You, Community,” the fight against rabies takes on a shared responsibility. World Rabies Day is celebrated globally on September 28, raising awareness about rabies prevention and the importance of timely vaccination.
The Centre for Disease Control and Research (CDCR), Federal Medical Centre Asaba, marked the occasion on Monday, September 29, 2025, with activities designed to educate the public on rabies control and animal welfare.
The event highlighted the dangers of rabies, preventive measures, and the critical role of community participation in eradicating this deadly disease. Through awareness campaigns, demonstrations, and interactive sessions, CDCR reinforced its commitment to protecting both humans and animals from rabies.
Stay informed. Stay protected. Stop rabies before it stops you.
