Lady Joy Ify Egonu, NRN, NRM, Dip, PH, BNSc, PDE, MNSc, is a distinguished nursing professional, Matron and Nursing Pillar Lead at the Centre for Disease Control and Research at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba. With over a decade of experience in nursing care and team collaboration, Lady Joy has excelled in various leadership roles, as Chief Nursing officer, where she has demonstrated a strong commitment to health prevention, promotion, counseling, research and epidemiology.
Her academic credentials include a Diploma in Public Health, Bachelor and Master of Nursing Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education. She is presently pursuing her PhD in Nursing, further advancing her expertise and dedication to evidence-based practice.
At CDCR, Lady Joy leads a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering patient centered care that aligns with global best practices. She is passionate about mentoring future nurses and advancing public health through research and community outreach.
