Lead - Dr Efe E. Omoyibo

Efe E. Omoyibo MBBS, FWACP (paed) is the head of the research team of the Centre for Disease Control and Research (CDCR) of the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba. He is a paediatrician with several years of working experience in general paediatrics, neonatology and paediatric infectious disease with special interest in Paediatric HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.
He is an active member of the Technical Working Group of the Delta State HIV/AIDS committee and a leading voice in Paediatric and Adolescent HIV/AIDS in the state. He is also an active member of the case management team of the unit.
Dr Efe Omoyibo received his undergraduate medical qualification from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He completed his clinical specialty training in paediatrics at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, Delta state for which he was awarded the Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians in Paediatrics. He has also received training on Leadership and Management in Health offered by the University Of Washington.
Vision
"It is my vision that the centre would be a major research hub within the South-South geopolitical zone and would provide assistance and mentorship to health care workers who are interested in primary research."
