Three days hands on training on Molecular diagnosis of viral haemorrhagic fever samples on lassa fever,monkey pox and other infectious diseases. Detecting genetic make up of the organism qualitatively and quantitatively. This helps Physicians diagnose and monitor patients effectively. The training was Anchored by DCL personnel, Mr Eze Udoh.
The centre for Disease Control and research (CDCR) was honoured to receive a visit from US Consul General Mr. Will Stevens on 20th January, 2023. Mr. Stevens toured our Molecular Laboratory where he witnessed first hand, the facility's capabilities. Mr Stevens' visit underscores the importance of international cooperation in addressing global health challenges.
We appreciate Mr. Stevens interest in our work and look forward to continued collaboration with international partners to protect and promote public health.
The Centre for Disease Control and Research (CDCR) recently welcomed representatives from the Integrated Disease Testing and Surveillance (IDTS) Abuja on the 21st of October, 2024, for a 2-day inspection and evaluation of our facility including the molecular laboratory.
The IDTS team's visit aimed to assess CDCR's capacity in disease surveillance, testing and response. The inspection focused on our molecular laboratory's infrastructure, equipment and operational procedures to ensure alignment with national and international standards.
