Industrial Harmony

The hospital has made remarkable achievement in work/industrial relations. The problem of incessant strike was the first major issue the Medical Director tackled head-on. Happily, there is now a cordial and friendly working relationship between management and staff of the hospital.

Training Programmes

Internship The hospital obtained accreditation for two (2) additional Internship programmes in Physiotherapy and Nursing, while the scope of other existing internship programmes (i.e. Medicine, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science and Radiography) was expanded.

Residency Training The hospital received further accreditation in Residency Training in the following departments:

• Internal Medicine
• Anaesthesia
• Public Health
• Orthopaedic Surgery
• Urology

Accreditation for Radiology and Ophthalmology will be aattained in 2022.
These new accreditations raised the number of accredited departments for residency training to an envious number amongst FMCs nationwide.

It is noteworthy that Resident Doctors in the hospital have always exhibited high standard and recorded an enviable pass rate in various Fellowship examinations of both the National and WestAfrica Postgraduate Medical Colleges.
