The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba, has successfully concluded its three-day Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) Preparedness Training for healthcare workers.
Held from June 8–10, 2026, the training equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills in Ebola prevention, infection prevention and control, screening and triaging, PPE use, hand hygiene, waste management, and emergency response simulations.
To ensure broader participation, the training was livestreamed to healthcare workers at the Mother and Child Hospital, Warri Annex.
The successful completion of the programme underscores FMC Asaba’s continued commitment to patient safety, the protection of healthcare workers, and preparedness to respond effectively to emerging public health threats.
