A Joint AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (ATM) Supportive Supervisory team from the Federal Ministry of Health, comprising NASCP, NTBLCP, NMEP, and State programme officers, conducted a visit to FMC Asaba on 16th June 2026.
To assess programme implementation, strengthen service delivery, identify gaps, provide on-site mentorship, and support quality improvement across HIV, TB, and Malaria services.
The team reviewed HIV care and treatment, PMTCT, TB and Malaria interventions, data management, commodity management, and overall service delivery. On-site mentorship was provided where needed.
The Medical Director was represented by Dr. James Ibuaku (CMAC) and consultants from the Public Health Department.
The team commended the management and staff for their cooperation and commitment. Recommendations were made to further strengthen ATM programme outcomes and improve quality of care for patients.
