A delegation from the Emergency Ambulance Service, Delta State, led by Dr Gloria Mok, State Coordinator, and Mrs. Biboyo-Brisibe Patricia, Head of the Blood Donation Centre, paid a courtesy visit to FMC Asaba to mark World Blood Donor Day 2026 in Delta State .
The team was received by the CMAC, Dr. James Ibuaku, on behalf of the Medical Director, Dr Ekeneam Omo, alongside other management staff of the hospital.
Dr. Gloria Mok said the visit was to appreciate the hospital’s collaboration, strengthen partnership, and announce the transition to a digital blood donation platform. She requested training for selected staff on the new application.
In response, Dr.James Ibuaku (CMAC)commended the Blood Bank team for their dedication and noted that no death due to blood unavailability has been recorded. He reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to safe transfusion services.
The visit further strengthened collaboration between the Delta State Emergency Ambulance Service and Federal Medical Center Asaba in saving lives and improving emergency response.
