The Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, successfully hosted the 5th Annual Conference of WASPEN from June 22nd–25th, 2026. Themed “Sustainable Clinical Nutrition Services: Ensuring Access, Safety and Collaboration,” the event was declared open on behalf of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, by Dr. Gloria Patrick. Highlights included an address by Medical Director, *Dr. Ekeneam Omo*, keynote by Mrs. Ladidi Bako Aiyegbusi, and the inauguration of the FMC Asaba & Asaba Specialist Hospital Nutrition Steering Committee. A community outreach at Ogwaukwu, Asaba, and scientific sessions on maternal/child nutrition, HIV, immunity, and complex diseases formed part of the conference. WASPEN President, Dr. Theresa I.
