In the spirit of World Charity Day, the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba on Friday, 18th September, 2026 received Her Excellency, Dame Edith Okowa, wife of the immediate past Governor of Delta State and Founder of the O5 Foundation, on a charity visit to the hospital. During the visit, Her Excellency, through her O5 Foundation, donated the sum of *Ten Million Naira (N10,000,000.00)* to offset the medical bills of indigent patients currently on admission in the facility. The patients and their families who benefited from this generous gesture expressed profound joy and gratitude, as the intervention brought them immense relief. The Medical Director and Management of FMC Asaba, on behalf of the entire staff and patients, sincerely appreciate Her Excellency for her compassion, generosity and consistent support for the less privileged. Her selfless act is a true demonstration of love and service to humanity.
