The attention of the management of the Federal Medical Centre asaba has been drawn to the above post in which it was alleged that staff were collecting money with their names and account numbers from unsuspecting patients or their relatives. For the avoidance of doubt, the management of the hospital wish to state as follows:
1.  That staff of the hospital be it accounts,   doctors,  nurses or laboratory scientists are not permitted to collect revenue from patients or their relatives in any form be it cash, or transfers. 
2.  Remita licensed revenue collection agent (Nuclear Associate and consultancy services Ltd ) is the one authorised by the hospital management to collect revenue in all  its 9 payments points in the hospital using Remita enabled POS machines and in extreme cases cash. Hospital receipts are duly issued thereafter.
3.  Notices are conspicuously displayed all around the hospital to that effect.
4.  The general public is kindly advised to follow this simple protocol in other to access services seamlessly. The danger of acting otherwise is that your information will not be captured in our electronic medical record and subsequent follow up medical care will be a challenge.
