Stroke is a time-sensitive medical emergency where immediate treatment can mean the difference between life, disability, or death. The World Stroke Organization (WSO) is leading the charge, encouraging everyone to learn the signs of stroke and be ready to #ActFAST

What is FAST?

F - Face drooping: Check if one side of the face is drooping or numb
A - Arm weakness: Check if one arm is weak or numb
S - Speech difficulty: Check if speech is slurred or difficult to understand
T - Time to call for help: Call emergency services immediately if you notice any of these symptoms

Federal Medical Center (FMC) Asaba is making a significant impact in creating awareness about stroke prevention and management on World Stroke Day 2025. As part of the global initiative, FMC Asaba is partnering with Stroke Action Nigeria and the World Stroke Organization to educate the public on the risks and warning signs of stroke.

Let's work together to make a difference and create a world where more lives are saved and better quality of life is achieved for stroke survivors!
